The Spring Festival and Inbound Business in Japan

In February of China, there is a joy of Spring Festival holiday everywhere. Although the Spring Festival symbolizes family getting together, in recent years, due to the good economic situation and the influence of young couples returning to who’s family problem, more and more people choose to celebrate the Spring Festival in the way of traveling to other places. According to a survey conducted by the Japan Tourism Agency, during the Spring Festival of 2018, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Japan reached 716,000. During their trip in Japan, Chinese tourists spend an average of 225,000 yen per person. This price includes accommodation and meal costs. In terms of merchandise purchase, the cost of products such as cosmetics and supplements are main. According to a survey conducted by Japan’s trade promotion agency (JETRO), focus on the “Chinese middle class”, Japan ranks first among Chinese tourists in overseas travel spots. In the current trend of “Deep Japan Tour” and “Experience Consumption”, Japan’s inbound tourism projects continue to be optimistic.
